About Rebeca Carvajal:

Rebeca Carvajal is a Licensed Proffesional Counselor (LPC) for Washington D.C. and a Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC).

Rebeca has her Masters of Arts in Art Therapy from The George Washington University. Art therapy provides an intersection of both of her passions: art making and community empowerment. She is a Charlotte,NC local and attended Queens University of Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Studio Art. Rebeca has provided individual on on one therapy to adolescents and adults, open studio community setting therapy with those experiencing homelessness, and school based therapy with adolescents. Rebeca has also taught therapeutic art classes at a community art center in Washington D.C. and has provided virtual stress management workshops to adults at job sites. Rebeca co-created community art project events with children called Art-O-Mat as a way to foster empowerment and self-expression in the community by teaching art classes to children and parents at a laundromat in Maryland.
