Rebeca Carvajal

FOUNDER and Art Therapist

 Rebeca Carvajal is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health counselor in NC and a Board Certified Registered Art Therapist (ATR-BC). Rebeca has her Masters of Arts in Art Therapy from The George Washington University and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Studio Art from Queens University of Charlotte. Art therapy provides an intersection of both of her passions: art making and community empowerment.

Rebeca has provided individual therapy to adolescents and adults, open art studio community setting therapy with those experiencing homelessness, and school based therapy with adolescents. Rebeca has also taught therapeutic art classes at a community art center in Washington D.C. and in Charlotte, NC. She has provided stress management/ self care workshops to adults at job sites. Rebeca has experience co-creating community art project events by partnering with organizations.

Currently Rebeca does individual art therapy and mental health counseling in her office in Charlotte, NC and virtually for NC residents. Rebeca also does community art workshops for children or adults with different organizations and non-profits.

On her free time, Rebeca loves gardening, latin dancing, playing with puppies, relaxing with family, and hiking at a local park.
